Arsenal’s next Premier League clash is arguably their most important of the season. Should we defeat Chelsea at the Emirates, then our title dreams – which admittedly are very slim at the moment – may become a little more realistic. Defeat practically sends the trophy to Stamford Bridge.
Here are five key battles that could help make the title picture slightly clearer:
With Diego Costa a doubt and Didier Drogba struggling to rediscover his form of old, it is likely that Loic Remy may be the person that leads the line for Jose Mourinho. The former QPR forward has five goals this season – not bad for someone that has predominantly featured from the bench – so Koscielny will have to be wary of his threat. If the centre-back manages to keep his countryman quiet, then that will cut off a large amount of supply, and potentially restrict the troubling runs of Chelsea’s midfielders.
