Former Gunner Freddie Ljungberg believes Aaron Ramsey is capable of becoming one of the best players in the Premier League, and has been hugely impressed by the Welshman in recent seasons, reports the BBC.
The Swede was a fan favourite during his time at Arsenal, and remains a Gooner to this day. He had nothing but praise for Ramsey, although believes he needs to overcome his injury problems before reaching his peak.
The 24-year-old was unbelievable last season, and if it weren’t for his injuries he arguably would have proved the best midfielder in the league.
He has struggled with hamstring issues this season, but has looked back to his best in recent weeks.

The energetic midfielder played a huge part in our 4-1 win over Liverpool this past weekend, and Ljungberg believes it’s his mental strength has helped him find his best form once again.
“I rate him very highly; last season he had an amazing season,” he said.
“Unfortunately he has some problems sometimes with injuries, but I think that’s something they can fix.
“At the beginning of his Arsenal career it didn’t go so great, but for me that shows he has great mental strength to keep on going.
“Then to explode like he did last season was unbelievable and no one was more happy than I was for that, and I think he has the potential to be a top, top, top player.
“He is already but to keep going from season to season.
“That’s what I would almost demand at Arsenal. If you want to play at Arsenal you need to be top, top, you need precision.
“But he showed last season and this season what a great player he is and he should be there.”
Consistency will be the key to Ramsey becoming the player he has the potential to be, as we have already seen he has plenty of quality.
The best players perform to the highest level on a regular occasion, something he is more than capable of.
