Arsenal’s reported target Morgan Schneiderlin has hinted at a move to the club after claiming that he wanted to join a Premier League team competing in the Champions League, the Mirror reports.
Schneiderlin has enjoyed a sensational season with Southampton, establishing himself as one of the league’s most destructive midfielders.
Our needs at the heart of the midfield have led to rumours suggesting that Schneiderlin is one of our main targets and, as per the Mirror, we’ve been eying the Frenchman since last summer’s World Cup.

Any move for a holding midfielder has been cast into doubt due to Francis Coquelin’s rise and many know Arsene Wenger’s desire to find a ‘internal solution’.
Schneiderlin would offer us a degree of flexibility in central midfield due to his ability to anchor the team, while also possessing the qualities to move further forward with the ball.
Southampton rate the Strasbourg-born ace at £25million, a figure Wenger may be reluctant to match for a holding midfielder.
The boss is notoriously known for seeking the best possible price and judging by his previous dealings, he seems to save huge bids for players capable of producing in the final third.
There is no time to dither this summer. Schneiderlin would represent a massive step towards challenging for the Premier League, and we should sign him even if he comes with such a steep price-tag.
