Congratulations to (in our opinion) the best playmaker in the Premier League, Mezut Ozil.
For the first time, the German maestro has been named PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for his sublime performances during the month of April, the official website reports.
Ozil played four times in April, three times in the Premier League, and once in the FA Cup semi-final versus Reading.
In that time, he capped a majestic performance against hapless Liverpool with a free-kick stunner in a 4-1 demolition, and registered two assists against the Championship outfit at Wembley.
He also did well in the 1-0 win at Burnley and the stalemate against champions elect Chelsea.
We love that Ozil is finally getting the credit his momentous talent deserves…

Not only is the 26-year-old a creative genius, capable of threading team-mates through on goal at will, and orchestrating play in the final third, but he works very hard too – which many don’t recognise.
This statistic from Squawka proves just how well Ozil performed this month.
Let’s hope it continues until the end of the campaign, and progresses into a hopeful 2015/16 title challenge.
