Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has urged Arsene Wenger to bring in Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech should the opportunity present itself, the Daily Mail reports.
Seaman remains one of the best goalkeepers English football has ever seen and there is a notion present among Arsenal fans that we’ve never properly replaced him.
Jens Lehman was consistent during the Invincible season, but his unpredictable temperament meant that he cost us a few games and was far from reliable.

“For me it’s a difficult one,” Seaman was quoted as saying.
“We’ve seen David Ospina for half a season and it’s still too early to judge, but having said that if someone like Cech comes along and wants to sign for Arsenal then it’s hard to say no.”

Our issues between the sticks have been brought to the fore this season with David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny both producing unconvincing displays.
The fact that Wenger is undecided as to who starts in a major final indicates that we’re missing a bonafide first choice in that position.
Cech remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world and taking him from one of our rivals would represent a massive statement of intent.
Should the Czech Republic international arrive, that would be a huge step towards our first league title since 2004.
