Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has returned to training ahead of our clash with West Bromwich Albion this weekend, although Arsene Wenger believes he is unlikely to feature in the game.
The England international has been out of action since our trip to Old Trafford in the FA Cup (via the Express), but could make his return before the end of the campaign.
Wenger gave an update on Chamberlain and Mathieu Debuchy in his latest press conference, revealing that both players were back in training ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.
The Frenchman insisted that they – along with Danny Welbeck – would be unlikely to play a part in the Baggies’ trip to the Emirates however, as it was too soon for the duo and Welbeck is still out injured.
“We have no basic injuries from our last game,” says Wenger (via the Mirror).

“We had a few jaded legs but we will see how everybody recovers.
“Players back? Danny Welbeck no, Chamberlain is back in full training today and Debuchy as well though they may be a bit short.”
Hector Bellerin has stepped up to soften the blow of losing Debuchy for so long this season, but the absence of the Ox has been far more noticeable.
We have lacked pace and width since the powerful young star suffered his injury, and have struggled to break down teams because of it.
It’s fantastic to hear that he could be available before the end of the season, and that he may still play some part in the FA Cup final.
