Arsenal have been alerted in our reported attempts to land Raheem Sterling after the Liverpool forward put his house up for sale and is now looking for a property in London, the Daily Mail reports.
Sterling is currently in the midst of a contractual stand-off with his club after admitting that he’d rejected a £100,000 per-week contract in the, now infamous, interview he gave to BBC Sport last month.
In that unsanctioned interview, Sterling admitted that being linked with clubs like Arsenal was “quite flattering” days before he lined up against us at the Emirates Stadium in our 4-1 win against the Reds.

As the Daily Mail suggests, we have been monitoring Sterling’s contract situation quite closely as he struggles to agree a deal with and a swap deal with our own contract rebel – Theo Walcott – has also been mooted (via the Daily Star).
Sterling grew up in north-west London which means we’re the closest club located to his home town and a move back to his familiar roots could prove to be ideal for the 20-year-old.
Any move for the England international will surely depend on Walcott’s future considering the plethora of options Arsene Wenger has available to him in wide areas.
Danny Welbeck, Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis Sanchez, Serge Gnabry and Aaron Ramsey are all capable of operating on the flanks which makes other positions a priority for us this summer.
