This is a huge piece of news, Arsenal fans…
As Wojciech Szczesny waits patiently to see if he’ll be selected by Arsene Wenger for the FA Cup final against Aston Villa on Saturday, he’s taken to Facebook with a shocking pre-match message.
The Pole has claimed he’s had enough of his father’s meddling in the media, declaring that his dad’s views are not his own, urging all Gunners to ignore him from now on.
Szczesny’s father consistently lets his son down in the media, and it’s no surprise that the younger man has finally had enough – and publicised his views.
Back in January, Maciej Szczesny branded us ’embarrassing’ and cruelly labelled the occasionally lethargic but defensively brilliant Per Mertesacker a ‘rhinoceros’ (via the Mirror.)
The post confirms Szczesny’s love for Arsenal – like this was ever questioned – and it would be great to see our long-serving custodian start on Saturday and lift the FA Cup, which was denied of him last year.
