There’s nothing like having biased pundits is there? ITV had the ingenious idea of including Barcelona midfielder Alex Song – who spent last season on loan at West Ham – on the panel for last night’s Champions League final.
Arsenal transfer news
The game pitted Song’s employers against Italian champions Juventus, and the 27-year-old could barely hide his smug delight when the Spanish giants claimed a 3-1 victory.
Former Arsenal man Song will never be the most celebrated man at the Emirates Stadium, following the controversial nature of his departure from North London back in 2012, and many Gunners are likely to have been among those slamming the Cameroon star last night.
Song hardly has any right to celebrate Barcelona’s success. He’s only played 65 games for the Catalans and the last of those games came well over a year ago. He’s had a decent enough year with the Hammers but he looks to have found his level with a mid-table Premier League team.
Fair play to him, at least he didn’t do a John Terry. Here are the best Tweets:
As soon as this ITV coverage is over Alex Song is ripping his suit off to reveal a full Barcelona kit so he can get in the photos.
