Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney lavished praise on Jack Wilshere after his stunning display against Slovenia in England’s last European Championship qualifier of the season, ITV reports.
Wilshere produced two sensational strikes from outside the penalty area to help England to a 3-2 win and his overall display proved to many that the 23-year-old can become a linchpin for his national side.
Rooney’s praise exceeded that of many others after he claimed that should Wilshere stay fit, he can become one of the best players in the world.
