Our backroom staff has been undergoing a makeover in recent years, with some big names joining the club. The latest addition is sports performance specialist Barry Solan, who is set to make the move to North London ahead of the new season, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Solan arrives as our new strength and conditioning coach, and could go along way towards toughening up our young stars. He is currently working in Gaelic Football with Mayo GAA, but will join up with us ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.
The arrival of Shad Forsythe has done wonders for the team, and while we have still been suffering our usual gluts of injuries, we have seen far fewer set backs – with a number of players even returning early.
Forsythe and Solan have worked together in the past, and will hopefully combine well again at the Emirates.
We are well known as a club for our injury problems, and have suffered badly in the past. You only have to look at the injury histories of players like Abou Diaby or Jack Wilshere as an example, and it’s something we have to put a stop to.
We’ve already started to reap the rewards of changes in the backroom, and hopefully that continues.
