Alexis Sanchez’s Chilean teammate Charles Aranguiz is apparently keen on a Premier League switch this summer, but is waiting for us to come knocking, according to the Mirror.
Arsene Wenger is known to be a fan of the midfielder, but the Mirror suggests we are facing competition from Chelsea.
Aranguiz is currently plying his trade in Brazil with Internacional, but is seemingly looking for a high profile move. He doesn’t seem like the type of player we desperately need, but he is hugely versatile and can play a variety of roles.
He is a playmaker who pulls the strings for club and country, but he is equally capable of playing deep or pushing forward into a more advanced role.
The 26-year-old was – along with Alexis Sanchez – part of Chile’s Copa America winning side, and would be a solid signing.

His agent Cesar Behling insists he is keen on a move to England, and it seems as though any potential move this summer will depend on us.
“Aranguiz prefers the Premier League,” said Behling (via the Mirror).
“But Marseille and Ligue 1 also have a great reputation and can’t be ruled out.”
Aranguiz certainly shouldn’t be a priority signing, but he looks like he has the quality to succeed in the Premier League if we want him.
