We are set for our first pre-season game this Wednesday evening, with the team heading out to Asia for a summer tour. The Singapore XI will be our first opponents, and with very few games organised Arsene Wenger may well look to field a strong team straight away.
There are a number of youngsters who have been taken on the tour, and they will likely see some game time in the second half. You would expect the manager to field a solid starting XI against Singapore though, with Petr Cech likel to get his debut.
Below is the team we think will start against Singapore XI:
GK) Petr Cech
Our new signing is likely to get his debut against Singapore XI, and we will finally get to see the Czech international in action for Arsenal. You would expect Arsene Wenger to rotate his goalkeepers in pre-season, but it seems probable that Cech would get his first start on Wednesday evening.

RB) Hector Bellerin
Mathieu Debuchy is back from injury and is back in contention for a starting spot. It would seem harsh to drop Bellerin after his superb season, but Wenger may opt for experience.
This pre-season could be huge for both men, and could go a long way towards deciding who will start the Premier League campaign.
LB) Nacho Monreal
The Spaniard usurped Kieran Gibbs as our first-choice left-back last season, and rightly so given his excellent performances. You’d expect him to continue his role there next season, and Gibbs will have to do far more if he wants to wrestle his spot back.
CB) Per Mertesacker
Despite the arrival of Gabriel, Mertesacker has kept his starting spot in the side. He will have to continue performing at a high level if he wants to keep the Brazilian out though, as the former Villarreal man will surely be pushing for more regular action next season.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
Unquestionably our best centre-back, the Frenchman has been superb in recent seasons. He is one of the first names on the teamsheet when fit, and if we are looking to put out our best side then he will surely be in it.
