Theo Walcott has got us off to a flying start in our Barclays Asia trophy final clash against Everton, with the pacy English international making a great run and finishing past Joel Robles to make it 1-0.
The speedster wants to be played as an out and out striker, but had to settle for a starting spot out wide against the Toffees. Olivier Giroud got the nod up front, but if Walcott keeps scoring then he might give Arsene Wenger something to think about.
He looked a threat right from the start, and it was clear Everton would struggle with his pace. Santi Cazorla put a fantastic ball through from deep in midfield, and Walcott raced forward to get on the end of it.
He took it early to beat Robles, knocking it low past the former Wigan man.

Walcott proved he has what it takes to play through the middle in the last few games of the 2014/15 season, and will be hoping to carry his fine goalscoring form into the new campaign.
There have been calls for a new striker, but if Walcott carries on in this vein then there may not be a need for one.
