Former Premier League icon Jay-Jay Okocha took his time out to praise his nephew Alex Iwobi, with the forward starring for us in our 4-0 win against Singapore Select XI.
Okocha mesmerised many with his talents during his time at Bolton and was often a scourge for us in the past – and football certainly runs through the family.

Iwobi started the game and could’ve easily got on the scoresheet a couple of times after he linked up well with Chuba Akpom.
After Akpom was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest during the final months of last season, Iwobi replaced him as the main striker for the U-21’s and he proved to be prolific.

Positioned on the left by Arsene Wenger, Iwobi showed real understanding on the ball and it was his pass that led to our opening goal in the first half.
If Iwobi ever needs guidance on his game, he could always ask his uncle to help out.
