Given our position in the Premier League table, our rivalry with the Red Devils has lessened over the past few years, but the competitiveness between the two clubs remained in the transfer market.

The former Southampton man arrived during a turbulent period for us, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Samri Nasri departing as they entered their peak years.
