Arsenal’s defensive duo Hector Bellerin and Calum Chambers have been named among the most valuableU-21 players in world football after an independent study was conducted by Prime Time Sport.
In a report which gathers various metrics, such as the number of appearances made for the national side, minutes played and years remaining on contracts, Bellerin and Chambers were named in the top 20.
Positioned 19th and 20th respectively, the duo impressed in their first season with the Arsenal first team squad, following different paths to their current situations.
Arsenal transfer news
Bellerin has done it the hard way, arriving from Barcelona at the age of 15 and rising through the ranks, grabbing his opportunity when handed the chance by Arsene Wenger.
Chambers himself rose through the ranks, albeit at Southampton’s famed academy which encouraged the boss to fork out £16million (via BBC Sport) to bring him to our club last summer.
