Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is certainly set for a defining period in his career and it seems that the 25-year-old is up for the challenge after uploading a Rocky-like clip of himself in the gym.
Currently enjoying his holidays in Dubai, Szczesny has hinted that he’s ready to play understudy to Petr Cech after we signed the legendary goalkeeper from Chelsea.
“Delighted to have a chance to learn from one of the best goalkeepers in the world!,” Szczesny wrote on his Facebook page after the signing was announced (via the Daily Star).
Szczesny lost his place as our first choice shot-stopper in January after a calamitous performance against Southampton, but reports suggest that David Ospina is set to be the fall guy for Cech (via talkSPORT).
When a goalkeeper of Cech’s ability becomes available, it would be almost negligent from our club had we distanced ourselves from a potential deal and Arsene Wenger’s ruthlessness in this situation must be commended.

Szczesny’s response to the signing has been spot-on and hopefully he can learn from Cech before eventually taking over from the 33-year-old.
