Fourth place was the best we could hope for a few seasons ago, with financial restraints meaning we were unable to challenge the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea for the Premier League title.
Arsene Wenger insists things have changed now however, and claims we will no longer be content with fourth place.
“[The title] is our target and we feel we have a chance in a very competitive league. We are not far [away],” Wenger said, as quoted by Goal.
Wenger is famous for treating fourth place like a trophy, so fans will be thrilled to hear that he has bigger plans for the upcoming season.
It would have been a tall order for us to win the league a few seasons ago, and Wenger deserves praise for securing Champions League football with the likes of Denlison, Andre Santos, and Nicklas Bendtner in the side.

Our current crop of players are more than capable of challenging however, and with a few more signings there should be no excuses for not at the very least mounting a challenge. Signing players of the quality of Petr Cech is a real signal of intent, and shows we mean business heading into 2015/16.
