We were dealt a significant blow to our title hopes on Wednesday night, with reports emerging that Jack Wilshere‘s injury is much worse than first feared and he’ll likely be out for six-eight weeks, the Daily Mail reports.
Wilshere was injured in training the day before our Community Shield clash against Chelsea, and when questioned about the latest on the 23-year-old, Arsene Wenger stated that his injury wasn’t a serious one.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Wilshere’s latest scan showed a hairline fracture to his fibula, which would mean that he could be out for two months.
Billed as a huge season for our academy graduate, Wilshere has once again been hit with a major setback and the repercussions of his latest blow may be damaging.
After enjoying a successful pre-season, all that hard work way may have been in vain and Wilshere will now have to gather himself together and aim to return to full fitness.
This injury may also have to prompt Wenger to enter the transfer market, with our squad looking rather more light in the central-midfield area.
Get well soon, Jack!
