After a solid pre-season, Wenger waxed lyrical on Oxlade-Chamberlain and stated that the 22-year-old has every quality a top footballer would dream to possess.
“When you look at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain you think, ‘What has he not got?’ and then you’re a bit speechless,” Wenger told Arsenal Player last week.
“What I want from him is complete concentration, dedication, to bring his qualities to the team.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain was, of course, chuffed to hear those comments from the manager, and the winger revealed that he’s determined to repay the faith shown in him by the manager.
Having been heavily involved in pre-season, he will be hoping to get regular game time in order to make more of an impact in the first team.
“Obviously it’s very nice to hear from a man that I respect so much,” The Ox told Sky Sports.
“I do believe in myself and the potential I have, but obviously I’m at the age now where I have to fulfil that so that’s what I’m focused on.”
Given Wenger’s tendency to play one creative midfielder on the flank, that leaves only one space left for a quick winger, and that position is occupied by Alexis Sanchez.
Game time is likely to be the only aspect which prevents the England man from reaching his full potential given the intense competition for places currently in Oxlade-Chamberlain’s position.
