Ozil arrived in the summer of 2013 and while he’s definitely transformed into an important player for us, he has yet to develop into one of the elite stars who are capable of deciding games on their own.
The German wizard definitely has the capabilities to stamp his authority on the biggest of games and Wenger has challenged the 26-year-old to finally deliver.

“I also want more goals from him because he plays in a position [high up the pitch] and he’s a good finisher.”
Wenger usually refrains from adding extra pressure on any of our players, so his latest comments regarding Ozil may mean that he’s seen a change of attitude in the player.
Ozil has been among the goals in pre-season and is visibly aiming to use his technique in the final third to create chances for himself.
After undergoing his first pre-season with us, the time has certainly arrived for Ozil to make this Premier League season his own.
