Things didn’t get off to a great start at the King Power Stadium, and it looked as though we were taking Leicester City far too lightly – despite countless warnings pre-game regarding the form of the Foxes.
Jamie Vardy is in great form this season, and opened the scoring after 12 minutes. We committed far too many men forward, and were hit on the counter in a two v two. Vardy smashed it past Petr Cech. 1-0.
Thankfully Theo Walcott hit straight back, latching onto a pass from Santi Cazorla and using his pace to race away from the defenders. His finish matched the run, and he slotted it cleverly past Kasper Schmeichel. 1-1.
Then came an extended spell of Arsenal pressure, but Leicester were looking hard to break down. Mesut Özil was the main man in a fantastic move, with Hector Bellerin played in down the right. He smashed a low cross across goal, and Alexis Sanchez ended up with a tap in at the far post.
It was his first goal of the season, and was a long time coming.

This game definitely looks like it has more goals in it, and we’ll have to keep our tempo high to get the better of the home side.
Arsenal transfer news
Hopefully this goal allows Alexis to kick on, and he can reproduce the goalscoring form he showed at times last season. We haven’t been at our best so far this season, but that looks like changing.
