We have only conceded four goals in the 11 games Gabriel has featured in and we’re unbeaten with the former Villarreal man in our side.
Arsene Wenger has flirted with a high-defensive line over the past few years, but the presence of Per Mertesacker has consistently halted those plans given his lack of pace.
With Gabriel and Laurent Koscielny as our defensive duo, we are able to defend aggressively and on the front foot, which is a blessing for our attacking players who can consistently press the ball high up the pitch.
