Arsene Wenger has delivered some fantastic news ahead of our clash with Watford this weekend, with three players potentially making a return from injury.
With the exception of Laurent Koscielny – who Wenger claims will be facing a late fitness test – the manager doesn’t actually reveal the players’ names. There are very few options however, so you have to assume he’s talking about Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini.

Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, and Tomas Rosicky are still facing lengthy spells on the sidelines (via Arsenal.com), so realistically there is no chance of any of them returning. That leaves Arteta and Flamini, who along with Kosicleny look set to return.
Koscielny is the only one of those three who is likely to go straight back into the starting XI, with the French defender hopefully partnering Gabriel Paulista in defence. Flamini and Arteta can probably hope for substitute appearances at the most, with Francis Coquelin likely to be starting in the holding midfield role.
It’s fantastic to hear that we’ve got so few injuries following the international break, and that we’ll have close to a full squad heading into this weekend’s game.

We will hopefully be able to kick on from where we left off before the break, and build on our dominant 3-0 win over Manchester United. We’re more than capable of taking all three points from Watford, but can’t afford to underestimate them either.
