Things looked set to take a turn for the better following the international break, with Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Hector Bellerin all set to return from injury (via IBT).
Ramsey looks set to be out for a little longer however, with John Cross of the Mirror suggesting that he wouldn’t be back in time for our clash with West Bromwich Albion.
“The England midfielder [Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain] is expected to be fit to play at West Brom straight after the international break while Hector Bellerin could also return after a groin problem,” he wrote.
“Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott are facing lengthier spells on the sidelines after muscle injuries which is something Wenger wants to prevent with [Alexis] Sanchez.”
This is yet to be confirmed, but if true it would be a real blow. Our right flank has looked far weaker since the absence of the 24-year-old, especially as it coincided with an injury to Bellerin.
The balance of our team has been thrown off with the pair out injured, and we need it restored if we want to push on.

With a great run of fixtures coming up, we really need to be taking maximum points. We have a great opportunity to take control of the league in the run up to Christmas, and Ramsey could be key to that.
Arsenal transfer news
Hopefully he’ll be back soon, if not for the clash with West Bromwich Albion then for the following Premier League game against a struggling Sunderland.
