The teams have been announced for our must win game against Olympiacos, and it’s a team more than capable of getting us through to the Champions League last 16.
Arsene Wenger knows how important this game is, and after our win over Dinamo Zagreb in the last game it’s make or break against the Greek side. A 2-0 win or scoring three or more goals in victory would see us through to the next round, while anything else would see us dropped to the Europa League.
Petr Cech naturally keeps his place in goal, with our usual defensive line in front of him. Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal deservedly keep their spot, and Arsene Wenger has stuck with his favoured pairing of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny at the back.
Mathieu Flamini and Aaron Ramsey start in midfield, which is certainly going to be key to our success. The Frenchman needs to be disciplined and guard against the counter, while Ramsey will need to balance attack with defence.
Mesut Özil will be pulling the strings in the No.10 role once again, with Joel Campbell and Theo Walcott starting either side of him. It’s great to see the Englishman back in the starting XI, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain deserved to be dropped after his display against Sunderland.
Olivier Giroud continues up front, and will be looking to continue his fine goalscoring form (hopefully not in his own net this time).

We know we’ve got what it takes to beat Olympiacos soundly and qualify from the group stages, but it’s certainly going to be a tricky fixture. The Karaiskakis stadium is a notoriously difficult venue, and we’ll unquestionably be facing a raucous crowd. Hopefully we can silence them somewhat with a goal early on.
