“We’ll see, you never know what happens,” replied Hernandez, when asked about a switch to Arsenal.
“I’m glad and happy to be part of this great club. In this sport, it does not matter whether you sign a contract for ten years or ten times prolong by one year. In six months, everything can again be different.
“You look at my last three years in which I have played for Real Madrid, Manchester United and now Leverkusen. It is my goal now to play a very good second half.”

Arsenal transfer news
Leverkusen are not in a position to topple Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga in the near future, whereas Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League table. Arsenal would unquestionably offer a better career platform for the Central-American, so if he had the chance to make the switch you’d expect him to jump at it. With players like Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil already at the club, Arsene Wenger is definitely building a squad which can regularly challenge for the title, and Hernandez would be a great addition to his squad.
He may not be the world class striker the majority of Arsenal fans are hoping to see arrive, but in terms of squad depth, he’d certainly add something up front.
