Arsenal and Hull City have come to a mutual decision to end Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden’s loan spell at the KC Stadium, with the Englishman expected to be back at Arsenal in January according to reports in the Expresss.
Arsenal are once again facing an injury crisis on an unprecedented scale and therefore will welcome back Hayden who has not been able to make an exceptional impact at Hull City.
City manager Steve Bruce has confirmed the Arsenal youth academy product will be shipped back to Arsenal in january as he has failed to make his 13 appearances count, and consequently struggled to secure a regular starting berth in the team.
The Gunners will however be happy to have him back as they look to find solutions to the absence of Santi Cazorla, Tomas Rosicky, Jack Wilshere and Francis Coquelin. The team is stretched to its bare bones at present.
Hayden has made two League Cup appearances for the Arsenal first team to date and while he may not be selected right away, Arsenal fans will be glad to know that Arsene Wenger has at least some internal options at hand.
The midfield crisis has put an even greater emphasis on Arsenal’s transfer market activity in the January Transfer window, and while reports of the club signing Mohamed Elneny (via the Mirror) from FC Basel continue to gather pace, fans will be praying Wenger has some more signings on his short list.
