Our newest acquisition Mohamed Elneny has revealed which team his son supports following his move to north London, and rather unsurprisingly it’s Arsenal.
The Egyptian international completed the switch to the Premier League from FC Basel, and is now awaiting his Arsenal debut. We were hoping to see him handed a cameo role against Stoke last weekend, but after he failed to make it off the bench, we’re instead looking towards our clash with Chelsea for our first glimpse of the 23-year-old.
Having seen the midfielder unveiled in Arsenal colours ahead of our trip to the Britannia Stadium though, we now get the chance to see his young son in full kit.
Elneny took to Instagram to post a picture of his young son, who can be seen chewing adorably on the Arsenal badge.

While many have not yet seen much of Elneny, there are high hopes for the midfielder at Arsenal. Despite the modest fee paid for him, we’re all hoping to see big things, as we badly need strengthening in the defensive midfield area. Francis Coquelin has been the only player capable of really doing the job adequately, and when he’s absent we are really stuck for options.
Arsenal transfer news
Arsene Wenger may look to ease the newest member of the Arsenal family into action, but fingers crossed we’ll see a bit of him this weekend.
