The transfer window may be over, but we’re still being linked with a handful of players. One such player is Marcelo Allende, a teen star who has been dubbed the next Alexis Sanchez, as reported by AS.
The Chilean currently plies his trade with Alexis’ former club Cobreloa, and is tipped for big things in the future. His agent has talked up a move to Arsenal, and claims if we make a move for the 16-year-old, then he’d happily make the switch to north London.
“I have a relationship with many European clubs including Arsenal and, another club, so if tomorrow there are options, we’ll talk,” his agent Christian Ogalde said.
“Arsenal is a great training club and we would be interested in working with them if they give us the possibility to.”
Many players are tipped to be the next big thing, and we hear about the next Lionel Messi, the next Cristiano Ronaldo, and even the next Jack Wilshere all the time. These players rarely live up to the massive expectations piled on their shoulders, but Allende is currently considered one of the brightest young stars in Chile.
Who knows whether he’ll actually even come close to matching the achievements of his compatriot Alexis, but if he really is as good as they say then it would be foolish to pass up the chance to sign him. His agent clearly believes his client would love a move to the Premier League, and if we were to miss out on a player who really did become the next Alexis Sanchez, we’d unquestionably be kicking ourselves.

He’d no doubt love to train alongside Alexis Sanchez too, and what better way to become the next Alexis Sanchez than to learn from the current Alexis Sanchez?
