Daniel Sturridge is reportedly tired of the constant criticism he’s been receiving over his injuries at Liverpool, and is looking to move on come the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.
The report suggests we’re among those monitoring the England international’s situation, and could look to move for him this summer. Manchester United are the other club mentioned, so if we were looking to lure him away we’d be facing stiff competition.
New Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has openly criticised the forward recently, questioning his desire and the seriousness of his injuries. Sturridge is apparently fed up of his new manager’s critique, and is now looking for an Anfield exit.
While Sturridge has shown real quality in the past, signing him may well prove to be one of the biggest mistakes ever. We’re already stocked full of injury prone players, and this season we’ve once again been derailed by the constant absences of some of our star players.
Daniel Sturridge is verging on Abou Diaby level injury status, and barely plays any part for Liverpool whatsoever. It’s impossible to rely on a player like that, and it’s simply not what we need.
Knowing Arsene Wenger, that obviously means we’re guaranteed to sign him, and a deal is probably already done; perhaps we’ll re-sign Diaby while we’re at it too.

We unquestionably need a new striker, as Olivier Giroud can’t do it all on his own. The Frenchman takes plenty of flak, but he does a decent job of leading the line alone. We could certainly improve on him though, and signing a forward this summer has to be a priority.
Arsenal transfer news
Signing an injury prone Liverpool reject certainly isn’t the way to go though, and if Sturridge ends up at Arsenal it wouldn’t be difficult to predict a lot of unhappy fans.
