We’ve been linked with almost every top striker in football over the last few seasons, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic among them. The Swede has now fuelled speculation of a move to the Premier League, responding cryptically when asked about a potential switch to England, as reported by the Express.
He suggested that his plans may already be in motion, and it was merely a matter of waiting until his contract at Paris Saint-Germain comes to an end. He claims big things will be happening, and insists he’s still in peak physical condition and able to play at the highest level.
“I have another three months here and then what will happen?” he quipped.
“Big things will happen. Let’s just say I am in shape.”
As the report suggests, we’re among the teams that have been linked with a move for the former Barcelona striker. At 34-years-old he’s obviously not going to offer anyone much in the long-term, but he’s still a top quality striker who could change the landscape of any given league for a season or so.
The question is, would Arsene Wenger be willing to accommodate such a massive ego? And would he be willing to break the club’s wage structure to bring him to England? You can only assume he’d demand a massive wage packet, and Wenger may not be that keen to bring someone like Ibrahimovic to the Emirates.

Arsenal transfer news
We unquestionably need a new striker, and a world class addition would give us a huge boost. Would it be worth potentially jeopardising the cohesion at the club in order to bring Ibrahimovic across the Channel?
After all that, there is no actual mention of Arsenal. He may well be plotting a switch to the Premier League, but for all we know it could be to join Manchester United, Chelsea, or Manchester City.
