Tomas Rosicky shares the opinion of many an Arsenal fan, and believes Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez will be the key to any title push we’re looking to make this season, as reported by the Mirror.
Özil has been in phenomenal form this season, and while Alexis hasn’t been able to replicate his form from last season, he’s still chipped in with ten goals and been a massive part of our success – when he hasn’t been out injured obviously.
Rosicky was talking up the German playmaker in a recent interview, highlighting the quality he has on the ball. He is well aware the former Real Madrid star hasn’t always been at his best in an Arsenal shirt, but he’s certainly playing some top quality football this season.
“Mesut was always a special talent and you could see that when he arrived here,” Rosicky said.
“He was out for some time last season so he couldn’t find his rhythm, but now, after playing since the start of the season, everyone here can see [how big a talent he is].
“Him and Alexis are the game changers. Both of them have the strength to win games, so it’s vital for the team’s title chances that they perform well.”

We’ve been without Alexis for large parts of the campaign, with the Chilean out of action for quite some time with a hamstring injury. He’s back now though, and has instantly improved our side with his unbelievable work-rate and never-say-die attitude. The former Barcelona star is unquestionably still lacking a little bit of sharpness, and shots that would have flown in last season are ending comfortably in the hands of the keeper or drifting way, way wide of the mark. One or two goals may open the floodgates again though, so hopefully he finds the mark against Leicester and replicates the reverse fixture with another hat-trick.
Arsenal transfer news
Rosicky has unfortunately been struggling with injury for quite some time, and the Czech international has barely seen a sniff of first team action. He is still firmly behind his team though and is cheering them on from the sidelines.
