Mesut Ozil is now a fully fledged Arsenal star and will only continue improving in red and white. The midfielder has received plenty of criticism since his move from Real Madrid in 2014, but has since proven he is going from strength to strength in north London.
The Germany World Cup star ended Arsenal’s five and a half hour goal drought with a fine finish against Bournemouth and is finally silencing critics. Although he’s yet to build on his 16 assists in 2016, the former Madrid attacker has time up his sleeve and plenty of opportunities to cement himself as Player of the Year.
Ozil looks bang on to smash Thierry Henry’s assists record. Placing a wager makes sense with GamblingSites.org which makes it easy to lay on a real money sports bet. The German after all is fully rested after picking up a knock in January and receiving some recuperation time from their recent cup endeavors.
Arsene Wenger was quick to point out how important a player Ozil has become to the Arsenal spine and feels his fighting attitude he’s developed since switching Madrid for London has played an important part in his development as a player.
There’s still room for improvement and only more time playing alongside Alexis Sanchez will continue to strengthen that lethal partnership. While Ozil can dictate play with a drop of the hat, he is sometimes found wanting in big matches. Manchester City at home is the blueprint for him and hopefully we will see more of that side in the coming weeks.

A big game against Leicester beckons next weekend and we must turn to Ozil to out-Mahrez Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian has been sublime this season and is Ozil’s main contender for Player of the Season in my opinion. It will take a successful campaign for Arsenal to see the German crowned with the title, and he must continue to play a vital part.
