It’s back to Premier League action after a hectic FA Cup weekend, with a home clash with Southampton on Tuesday night. The team will be looking for revenge after our appalling performance in the reverse fixture, and we’ll need to take all three points to make up some ground on the teams above us after dropping into third.
Arsene Wenger has a few choices to make with regards to selection, but here’s how we think Arsenal will line up against Southampton this Tuesday:
GK) Petr Cech
David Ospina performed acceptably during the FA Cup clash with Burnley, but certainly didn’t do enough to displace Petr Cech. The Czech international should take his place back this Tuesday, with the Colombian relegated back to the bench.
RB) Hector Bellerin

It’s a similar situation with Bellerin, who will almost certainly be returned to the side for our midweek Premier League clash. Calum Chambers may have grabbed one of the goals against Burnley – and it was a cracker – but defensively he can’t hold a candle to the Spaniard.
LB) Nacho Monreal
Monreal has been fantastic this season, and while Kieran Gibbs hasn’t performed badly when given the chance, he’s still behind Monreal in the pecking order.
CB) Laurent Koscielny
The Frenchman didn’t have his best game against Burnley, but the quality he has means we can’t possibly afford to drop him.
CB) Per Mertesacker
Back from his suspension after being sent off against Chelsea, the German defender is expected to replace Gabriel Paulista after being forcefully rested over the weekend.
