Danny Welbeck has been out of action for close to a year, but looks close to a return after scoring this superb goal in training with the U21s.
Not sure about the choice of caption from the admin of the official Arsenal Twitter account, but the goal is great.
Pick that one out! Welbz goes top bins https://t.co/23B5uQZckr

Having been out for so long, he’s obviously going to take a while to get back to match fitness, and has been spending some time with the youth squad. He will no doubt continue to get games with the U21s until Arsene Wenger deems him ready, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later.
The 25-year-old obviously isn’t a game changer, and we’re not going to see our season saved upon his return – if it even needs saving in the first place. He is an excellent squad player though, and will give Arsene Wenger a little more of a selection headache once he’s fully fit.
Welbeck has split opinion since his arrival from Manchester United, and has gone from being the next Thierry Henry to being a baby giraffe and a total liability. He certainly brings a number of things to the table though, and although his finishing, first touch, and a number of other facets of his game hold him back, he’s got all the physical attributes required to be a top player.

Hopefully he’ll be back soon, and can give us a little more squad depth heading into this crucial stage of the season. And hopefully he scores goals like this one during games, not just in training with the U21s.
