Some video footage has been leaked of the Arsenal players in the tunnel against Norwich last November, and Mesut Özil appears to call the Canaries’ defence “f***ing s**t”, as reported by The Independent.
It’s not exactly conclusive, as there is a massive bleep to block out the swearing, and even before that you can hardly make out Özil’s muffled words in all the noise.
Reports seem pretty sure that’s what he’s saying though, and the story is now doing the rounds on social media.

The German playmaker opened the scoring at Carrow Road that day, although we disappointingly ended up drawing after conceding a sloppy goal. The fact that we were unable to get the win over a side that apparently has a “f***ing s**t” defence makes things all the more disappointing, and results like these are what have kept us from being top heading into this crucial period.

To be fair, most back lines probably seem a bit rubbish to Özil – the pass master who has the keys to unlock almost any defence. We’ll need that particular set of keys to be readily available in order to take top spot back from Leicester City, and even if they don’t have the best defence in the league, we’ll need to be at our best.

Our own defensive display is also likely to prove hugely important, but if the reverse fixture – which ended 5-2 in our favour – is anything to go by, this could end up being a real goal-fest.
