Arsene Wenger has come in for a huge amount of criticism during his time at Arsenal, more so now than ever thanks to our poor performances. He seems to be on the verge of totally snapping, and is clearly sick and tired of being lambasted by the fans and media.
His retorts have been getting more and more severe in recent weeks, and he really seems to have lost it with his latest response to media accusations questioning his position at the club and his motivation to do the job.
“I have no doubt about my motivation,” Wenger said (via Goal).
“I built this club with hard work and without any external resources. If you compare the club when I arrived and how it is today, it is moved forward – and without any help from anybody.
“There was no money from anyone. Now I am even more motivated than the first day I arrived. And I feel even more pressure and responsibility to keep this club moving forward.”
Although no one man is ever going to be bigger than Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has become synonymous with the club over the last two decades. However, his comments seem a little egoistic, almost seeming like he believes he is Arsenal.

We don’t think he actually feels that way, although he’s given so much to the club that it’s understandable that he’d feel infused with it in some way. It seems like he’s really snapped though, and is not responding in his usual calm and collected manner.
Arsenal transfer news
He seems to be fuelling the fire rather than doing what he usually does, defusing the situation in a diplomatic fashion. These comments are only going to alienate and infuriate Arsenal fans more, and result in more calls for the 66-year-old’s head at the end of the season.
