We really didn’t need another game in our fixture list, but we’ve got one this Tuesday against Hull City in our FA Cup replay. Arsene Wenger has to decide how much of a priority the cup competition is, and has some decisions to make regarding team selection.
Here’s how we think Arsenal will line up against Hull this Tuesday:
GK) David Ospina
With Petr Cech unavailable (via Arsenal.com), David Ospina is the obvious choice. He isn’t exactly popular among Arsenal fans, but he was excellent against Tottenham thankfully.
RB) Calum Chambers
Hector Bellerin needs a rest at some point, and Calum Chambers is the only real option at right-back.
LB) Kieran Gibbs
Nacho Monreal was benched due to a knock (via IBT), and may be rested for our FA Cup game too. Gibbs was solid against Tottenham, so no real concerns there.
CB) Gabriel Paulista
With Calum Chambers needed at right-back and Laurent Koscielny injured (via Arsenal.com), we are unable to rest either of our fit centre-backs.
CB) Per Mertesacker
Both Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker are likely to be called upon, as we don’t really have any other options.
