Arsene Wenger is extremely worried about Aaron Ramsey, who suffered a nasty looking injury during our FA Cup replay. The Welshman came on as a substitute after Gabriel Paulista followed Per Mertesacker onto the injury list, but Ramsey was soon replaced himself.
Wenger spoke after the game about the injured trio, and worryingly revealed that he was incredibly concerned about Ramsey.
The 66-year-old suggested Ramsey’s injury could be a serious one, which would be a real blow for us in the coming weeks. We’ve already got a lengthy injury list, and it’s threatened to derail our season in a very real way. A number of our central midfielders are out of action, and adding Ramsey to that list leaves us really short.
Injuries to Mertesacker and Gabriel are obviously also a blow, as we could struggle defensively without them this weekend. They don’t appear to be particularly serious injuries though, so hopefully they’ll be back in action sooner rather than later.

Being without Ramsey really leaves us short of options in midfield, and means we’re probably going to have to stick with two more defensively minded players in the central areas.
