Robert Lewandowski was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and the Premier League before he joined Bayern Munich, and has also been an unlikely target of ours since he joined the Bavarian giants. He recently committed his future to Bayern, but insists that a move to the English top flight could still be in his future, according to France football.
Obviously we aren’t talking about a transfer any time soon, as Bayern Munich are unlikely to let their star striker leave. He’s unquestionably one of the game’s top forwards at the moment, and not only would he cost an absolute fortune, he’s unlikely to want to take the step down to Arsenal.
He insists that he wants to be at the club that will most help further his career, and unfortunately right now that’s not Arsenal.
“Maybe I’ll play in England or Spain one day,” he said.
“But, if I committed to pursuing my career in Munich, it’s because I considered it the ideal club at which to move up a level and to win more trophies.
“The fact that every season they reach at least the semifinals of the Champions League impressed me.

“Apart from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, what other teams can brag about such consistency?
“I don’t know what my future will look like but at the moment I’m very happy at Bayern.”
It would be great to see Lewandowski at Arsenal, as along with the likes of Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema, he’s the type of top quality forward who guarantees you goals and will take you that giant step forward towards winning the league.
Arsenal transfer news
The Polish international has scored a hugely impressive 38 goals in 46 appearances, and although he might not get the same return at Arsenal, with players like Mesut Özil supplying him you’d expect him to get close. Will we ever see him in the Premier League though? Nevermind Arsenal.
