Piers Morgan has made no secret of the fact that he wants Jose Mourinho to take over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, with the journalist campaigning to get rid of the Frenchman for years.
He’s now sent the message to Mourinho to let him know he’s wanted at the Emirates (at least by one man), and has begged the club to “break the bank” in order to sign him.
Check out the tweet below:
Mourinho says he hasn’t signed a contract & wants to stay in England.
Arsenal should break the bank for him. Now. #afc

Morgan’s view on Mourinho isn’t one shared by many Arsenal fans, although he’s obviously not completely alone in wanting the Portuguese manager at the club.
Mourinho has obviously shown he has a certain amount of pedigree when it comes to winning titles, as he’s done it in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and England. He also has a history of destroying clubs after a year or two though, leaving them in a state of chaos for a while after.

His most recent stint with Chelsea certainly isn’t a great addition to his CV, with the Blues performing horrendously during the first half of the campaign under Mourinho. He was eventually replaced by Guus Hiddink, and since then Chelsea have really been back on the rise.
The former Real Madrid manager has been heavily linked with a move to either Manchester United or PSG (via ESPN), which both seem far more likely than a switch to Arsenal. The only real reason there is to think that Mourinho could end up at Arsenal is that he’s already settled in London, and if he had a choice he’d probably rather remain in the capital.
Arsenal transfer news
Most Arsenal fans would hate to see the vile ex-Chelsea man take over at the club, even if it does end up winning us the league.
