The teams have been announced for our Premier League clash against Sunderland, with Arsene Wenger naming an unchanged side from the one that beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 on Thursday. Jack Wilshere is on the bench though, and could get his first minutes of the season.
Petr Cech is in goal once again, with Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker ahead of him. We looked far more solid without Gabriel Paulista in the side, and while the Brazilian has potential, he can be a bit of a liability at times.
Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal keep their places at right and left full-back respectively, and rather worryingly neither Kieran Gibbs nor Calum Chambers are on the bench.
Mohamed Elneny and Aaron Ramsey continue their midfield partnership, which looked solid against West Brom. With Sunderland desperately looking to ensure their survival in the Premier League they may cause more of an attacking threat, so hopefully we don’t end up missing the defensive stability Francis Coquelin provides.
Alex Iwobi wasn’t at his best last time out, but he keeps his place alongside Mesut Özil and Alexis Sanchez. Olivier Giroud also keeps his place despite being relatively ineffective against the Baggies.
The big news is that Jack Wilshere is on the bench obviously, and hopefully we’ll get to see him for at least a few minutes.

Arsenal transfer news
Regardless of their motivation we should be more than capable of dominating and getting the win, but we can’t be complacent as they are potentially a very dangerous wounded animal at the moment.
