Our latest sensation Alex Iwobi has explained the thinking behind his goal celebration, a celebration we saw against Everton and Watford, and hope to see more of in the future.
The teenager was speaking to Arsenal player, and revealed the celebration arose due to a conversation with his friends and a gut feeling.
“I can’t describe the feeling [of scoring], I started losing my head and the celebration… I don’t know where that came from, but I’m sticking with it now,” he said.
“The best way to describe it is that it’s my number , and the Gunners; Arsenal.
“I was just excited and also my friends told me to do something crazy, so it was for them.”
Iwobi has been phenomenal recently, and really deserves his starting spot in the team. He’s fought off competition from the likes of Theo Walcott and Joel Campbell, and has arguably been our best player over the last few weeks.
