Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Manchester City in a few weeks time has been rescheduled, with the game changed to accommodate Sky Sports’ TV timetable (via Arsenal.com).
The game was originally set to take place on Saturday May 7th, but has now been moved to the following day. We’ll be shown at Sunday May 8th 4pm on Sky Sports, and being such a huge game it unquestionably had to be live on TV.
All but one of our remaining games are set to be televised on Sky Sports, with the exception of this weekend’s game against West Ham and the final game of the season against Aston Villa. Our game against the Hammers will be on BT Sport, while the Aston Villa game seems unlikely to be on TV at all. Villa will have been confined to relegation long before then, and unless there are some real twists and turns we’re unlikely to be fighting for much either.
How anyone can ever have thought that Manchester City v Arsenal shouldn’t have been televised is a mystery, as before the season started this would have been billed as a potentially title deciding game. That’s obviously changed significantly now, but Manchester City could certainly still be fighting for top four at that point.

Many fans were thinking this game would be a key fixture in the title race earlier this season, but unfortunately that’s not the case. It should still be a great spectacle though, and we should be doing everything to ensure we get all three points, even if it’s just to set a marker down for next season.
