Manchester City will be without a number of key players heading into the game against Arsenal this weekend, with the Citizens suffering a glut of injuries right at the end of the campaign, as reported by the Daily Mail.
We’re normally the ones suffering from injuries, but we’re relatively injury free at the moment. Per Mertesacker and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are the only real concerns, although a number of others are not nearly at full fitness.
City will be without club captain Vincent Kompany, as well as David Silva, Pablo Zabaleta, and Aleksandar Kolarov. They are lucky they aren’t missing too many players from the same position, but the fact that they are missing so many important players certainly bodes well for us.
They are a shadow of themselves without Kompany, and David Silva has been such a massive player for them over the years. Zabaleta and Kolarov are arguably both first choice left-backs at the Etihad, so hopefully these absences will give us the edge in what could prove to be a massive game.
Three points this weekend would guarantee us third spot at the very least, and depending on Tottenham’s result could keep us in contention for second place. A draw would almost certainly see us finish ahead of Man City too, while a loss would put us in fourth and put everything down to the final day.

Arsenal transfer news
The fact that our last game is against Aston Villa is a huge boost, and should really be a guaranteed three points. So we need to give everything we can in this game to put the pressure on our opponents, and make sure we’re straight into the Champions League proper come the end of the campaign.
