Olivier Giroud scored two goals for France against Scotland this past Saturday night, including an early back-heel of real quality.

The French forward has been criticised by international fans recently, with many disappointed that Karim Benzema isn’t going to the Euro 2016 Championships this summer and consequently taking it out on Giroud. Despite the boos though, the 29-year-old has been in fine form ahead of the Euros, scoring six goals in his last seven international games.
His first goal against Scotland was a thing of real beauty, coming onto the cross at the perfect time and turning it in with a clever through the legs back-heel.

His second goal was far from pretty, but was another example of what he’s capable of. He showed fantastic reactions and awareness to pounce on a loose ball after a saved shot, sliding in ahead of the defender to poke home his second of the night.
Another Arsenal man got the third and final goal of the game, with Laurent Koscielny getting the tiniest of touches during a corner routine. The cross was flicked on by the first man and was heading towards the far post, where a Scottish player was waiting to clear. Koscielny got a touch and changed the trajectory of the ball and sent it into the back of the net though, with the centre-back wheeling away with a cheeky smile on his face.
Arsenal transfer news
Hopefully this game endears the fans to Giroud a little, and the Arsenal man is able to carry his international form into next season in the Premier League.
