Arsenal have announced the signing of Bolton Wanderers young versatile central defender Rob Holding on the Clubs official website.
The 20-year-old had a break through season for the-then Championship outfit, making 30 appearances. However despite his best efforts the side were relegated to League One.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a much more successful summer helping the England Under-21s to victory in the Toulon tournament in France. He also collected Bolton’s Player of the Season accolade, encouraging signs that the Gunners have managed to unearth an exciting defender.
Arsenal’s official website released the following statement:
“Rob is a versatile player, comfortable at both centre back and full back, and we look forward to him joining up with the squad.
“His transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”
