Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has completed his season-long loan deal to AFC Bournemouth. The 24-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements for the season and his move away from the Emirates has been made official (via Arsenal.com).
An incredible 22 clubs were interested in signing Jack Wilshere when he was made available for loan earlier in the week. Crystal Palace and AS Roma were thought to be close to signing the midfielder but Wilshere has opted for the South Coast.
AFC Bournemouth sees Wilshere link up with former Arsenal teammate Benik Afobe, the forward left the club in 2015 and moved to the Premier League side from Wolves a year later. It gives the midfielder a greater amount of first team football and a chance to stay in the Premier League.
We can only hope that Jack Wilshere returns to North London in a year a fitter, more confident player who is ready to slot back into the Arsenal team. Almost every Gunners fan out there hopes that Wilshere’s long-term future remains at the Emirates.
